Ichetucknee Springs State Park - how to enjoy the crystal clear spring with a tube | ||||||||||
| ||||||||||
|
The crystal clear Ichetucknee River flows six miles through shaded hammocks and wetlands before joining the Santa Fe River. Tubing down the river is the premier activity in the area from the end of May until early September. |

There is more to Ichetucknee than just tubing. You can snorkel, scuba dive, canoe, swim, picnic, hike, and view wildlife. The area wildlife includes wild pigs, white-tailed deer, raccoons, wild turkeys, wood ducks and from the river you can view great blue herons. Picnic areas are equipped with tables and grills throughout the park. A full-service concession offers food and refreshments. From Memorial Day through Labor Day the concession also sells any type of outdoor product you may need for the park. Private vendors outside the park rent tubes, and snorkeling and diving equipment.

Park Fees are $5.00 per vehicle admission fee even if you don't use the river. The fee is $3.00 for a single car or motorcycle of one or two persons. You only pay $5.00 per person to canoe year round. Tubing prices are $5.00 per person and children 5 and under are free.

Jason's
thoughts - What a fantastic way to spend the day with family or friends.
Super easy, well organized, comfortable, cool, scenic, float. Go early and do
it twice in a day. The water is very cold, and when you get out you will be shivering.
Kelly's thoughts - I had great memories of Ichetucknee
Springs from many years ago, and it hasn't changed. Floating in cool water with
the hot sun is an attainable Florida luxury.
