Unless you plan on living in your motor home, you need to consider it a luxury or an extra expense. However, if you go camping a lot, vacation, attend football games or car racing, it can be about the same in cost when you consider not having to pay for a rental car and hotel rooms. It is a good idea to try motor home hire first. If you are wanting to buy a particular motor home then rent it for three days, no less. This will give you a real feel for the motor home. good deal for a motor home hire is what you're looking for or how to find a good dealer, and what to expect in terms of cost, paperwork, etc., then the following information will be good to read.
The majority of motor home hiring facilities will hire Class A's, Class C's and even Class B's, but will not rent fifth wheels or trailers. Also, the majority will not allow a rental that is less than four days with a motor home rental usually being a four to fourteen night rental period. A lot of U.S. motor home hire companies require half of the rental charged upfront on your credit card at time of confirmation or at least a $1100 reservation deposit.
Most motor home hire companies tend to allow you the first 100 miles a day for free and then charge around .33 to .43 per mile after depending on the depreciation rates. Later that will be applied towards your rental charges. Also, there will typically be a security deposit charge that is applied when you pick up your motor home and it is held during your time of rental.

Sometimes the motor home that you're renting will have a generator on it. If so, there is typically a per hour fee on its use as well. This will be calculated after your hire. If you are camping at a campground you will not need a generator though. You can enjoy extras like hospitality kits, extra insurance, kitchen kits and emergency road kits.
Just like moving out of an apartment after renting it, you are typically asked to clean the motor home hire when you're' done with it, so it is ready for the next renter. Also, like an apartment, if you leave the motor home in an unclean condition, you will be charged a cleaning fee. There is a special insurance that is around $14 per day that prevents any disasters.
A mind easing plus, is that most companies have a nationwide 24 hour roadside assistance, in case of a breakdown. They also offer, 24 hour vehicle operation assistance, toll free technical service hot line, 24 hour customer service in many different languages, mobile mechanical services, warranty station appointment services that can usually be very valuable in ensuring your trip is not a disaster if a breakdown did occur.
You do not need a special driver's license in order to drive a motor home. However, the majority of rental places will require you to be at 25 years of age or older with a valid driver's license. And you will require to pay very large late fee if you fail to return the motor home on time. Try the option of motor home hire.
